This Privacy Policy explains how Moniqo ("we", "our", or "the app")
collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you
use our personal finance management application. By using Moniqo, you
agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a) Account Information

Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we
receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.

Phone Authentication: If you sign in with your phone
number, we collect your phone number via Firebase Authentication
(OTP-based).

Guest Mode: If you use the app without signing in, no
personal identity information is collected.
b) Financial Data

Bank account names, balances, and types (bank, credit card,
investment, cash) — entered manually by you.

Income and expense transactions including amount, category, date, and
notes — entered manually by you.
- Budget limits per category — entered manually by you.

Custom categories with names, emoji, and colors — created by you.
We do not connect to your actual bank accounts. All financial data is
entered manually by you.
c) Usage & Diagnostic Data

Firebase Analytics: Anonymous screen view events and
app usage patterns (no personally identifiable information).

Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports and error logs to
help us fix bugs. These may include device model, OS version, and app
version.
d) Purchase Information

If you subscribe to a premium plan or make a one-time purchase, the
transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or
store your payment card details.

We store your subscription status (Free / Premium Lite / Premium Full)
in your user profile on Firebase Firestore to unlock premium features.
2. How We Use Your Information

To provide core app functionality — account tracking, transaction
management, budgets, and analytics.

To authenticate you securely and sync your data across devices
(signed-in users only).

To display your subscription tier and unlock premium features
accordingly.

To send optional notifications — monthly spending reports and weekly
digests (only if you grant notification permission).
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability via Crashlytics.

To understand how features are used (anonymously) via Firebase
Analytics.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with
third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your data is shared only with the following service providers, solely to
operate the app:
4. Data Storage & Security

Your financial data (accounts, transactions, budgets, categories) is
stored in Google Cloud Firestore, accessible only to
your authenticated user account.

Firestore security rules enforce that only you can read or write your
own data.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and encrypted at rest by
Firebase.

Guest mode data is stored locally on your device only and is not
uploaded to any server.
5. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account, all associated data (transactions,
accounts, budgets) is permanently deleted from our Firestore database.

Anonymous analytics and crash logs may be retained by Firebase per
their own retention policies.
6. Your Rights & Choices

Access: All your financial data is visible to you
within the app at all times.

Deletion: You can delete individual transactions,
accounts, or budgets at any time within the app. To request full
account and data deletion, contact us at the email below.

Notifications: You can disable notifications at any
time in the app settings or in your device notification settings.

Sign out: You can sign out at any time. Signed-out
users can continue using the app in Guest mode.

Export: Premium Full users can export their
transaction data as a CSV file.
7. Children's Privacy
Moniqo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you
believe a child has provided us with personal information, please
contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. SMS Permission (Android — Premium Full)
Moniqo's Premium Full plan includes an optional SMS auto-parsing feature
that reads bank transaction SMSes to automatically log expenses. This
feature:
- Requires explicit user permission before activation.
- Processes SMS content locally on your device only.
- Does not upload your SMS messages to any server.
- Can be revoked at any time in device settings.
9. Biometric Data
The app lock feature (Premium Lite+) uses your device's built-in
biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition). Moniqo does
not access, collect, or store your biometric data — authentication is
handled entirely by your device's operating system.
10. Third-Party Links
The app may contain links to third-party services (e.g., Splitwise). We
are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. We
encourage you to review their privacy policies before using them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will
update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of
the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
For significant changes, we will notify you within the app.
